Carrara marble quarries and Carrara town are a trending location for photo shooting and product launches, chosen by the best brands worldwide. In 2016 Carrara extraordinary landscapes inspired the launch of New Balance marble sneakers.
New Balance, the American sport-wear brand has collaborated with UK based style curator END for a marble white makeover of the classic 575 runner sneaker. The result is not a marble texture, but a refined marble-inspired colourway. The New Balance marble sneakers M575END, “sculpted for a new era” feature nubuk upper, suede overlays, two-tone midsole and gum rubber outsole, and END Lace lock.
The two companies have declared that the inspiration came from one of the world’s most luxurious materials: Carrara marble. New Balance chose the world renowned Carrara quarries in northern Tuscany as the location for a beautiful photo-shooting that really adds value to the product (and makes you want to visit Carrara).
The New Balance marble sneakers come in a Carrara marble texture packaging, while real marble boxes were used for display in the END Stores.
New Balance is just one of the many sportwear brands to be inspired by Carrara Marble, some of them even incorporated the its texture in their logo (Adidas marble pack)!
